THE FAMINE – HISTORY

  • The 40 Hour Famine started in 1975 and has been running in New Zealand for 33 years!
  • In 2007, more than 118,000 participants helped raise over 2.6 million dollars nationwide.
  • Funds raised through the 40 Hour Famine help support World Vision projects in Malawi, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Honduras, India, Niger, Solomon Islands, Tanzania and many more.

The 40 Hour Famine – a global event!
