From March 2: World Vision will be sending out Famine materials to registered schools - When you receive these, hand out the Sponsor Books and record participant details on your Organiser record sheet and register your school/group online at famine.org.nz.

March 9 - May 15: Brainstorm and plan activities for your school's Famine Week and Famine Weekend events - enlist help from student's and volunteers. Introduce the Famine Hope catalogue and contact your local World Vision School Relationship Coordinator for speaking appointments at your school and show the Promotional Famine DVD.

MAY 22- 24: Famine weekend

May 25 – June 30: Collect and bank all Famine funds from participants.
Collect Sponsor Books and record funds raised on and offline and allocate Star Award prizes on the Organiser Record Sheet. Return used Sponsor Books and Organiser Record sheet to World Vision.

July 3: The Banking cut-off date to ensure eligibility for entry into Senior/Intermediate Scholarships and Famine Star Awards is July 3.

July 20: Schools eligible to send students to the Senior and Intermediate Scholarship weeks announced by World Vision.

Aug 3: Deadline to have Organiser Record Sheets and used Sponsor Books back to World Vision.

August & September: Certificates and participant prizes delivered to schools and groups.

28th September - 2nd October: Intermediate Scholarship week.

4th -9th October: Senior Scholarship week.
